Rochester, NY — October 31, 2024 — Applied Image, Inc., a leading Rochester-based manufacturer of precision-imaged optical components and calibration standards, was honored to host Congressman Joe Morelle at its headquarters on October 25.
The visit allowed the Congressman to witness firsthand the innovation, advanced manufacturing, and high-quality products Applied Image develops for various industries, including aerospace, medical, scientific, and industrial sectors.
During the visit, Congressman Morelle toured Applied Image’s state-of-the-art facilities. He met with the company’s leadership team to discuss the critical role that small and medium-sized manufacturers play in the regional economy. He also met with employees to learn more about the company’s contributions to optical imaging technologies and the unique way Applied Image supports local job growth and global innovation.
Most notably, its Precision Imaging / Nanolithography Technician Apprenticeship Program that prepares technicians for advanced manufacturing careers, supporting optics, photonics, imaging, semiconductor, and other industries.
